Turku Printmakers Association in Romania

From left to right: Andrei Scărlătescu (specialist/artist in graphic art), Mircea Niţă (Director  of Damboviţa County Cultural Center), Ovidiu CÎrstina (Director of Complexul Muzeal Naţional „Curtea Domnească”), Marco Pribilla (First Secretary of the Embassy of Finland).The Embassy of Finland in Bucharest together with Curtea Domnească Museum in Târgovişte invites you to the exhibition of the Turku Printmakers Association / Finland (Turun Taidegraafikot ry). The official opening of the exhibition took place on the 16th of July 2010 at the Museum of History in Târgovişte. The exhibition hosted by the Museum of History will be open until the 30th of July (address: Calea Domnească nr.189).

 The exhibition includes 51 graphic works by 15 designers who are chosen to represent the Turku Printmakers Association from its pool of 91 artists. The art represents some traditional Finnish nature themes without forgetting to present some more peculiar themes such as human anatomy.

 In case of missing the current display in Târgovişte, you still have another chance to enjoy the Finnish graphical print art in Romania, taking place on the Black Sea coast, in Constanţa in the beginning of November.Târgovişte 16th of July 2010.

 Artists: Annette Almarsund-Holström, Annika Dahlsten, Yrjänä Ermala, Matti Helenius, Juha Joro, Minna Anniina Jokela, Ulla-Maija Kallinen, Marita Mikkonen, Marjatta Nuoreva, Veronika Ringbom, Marja Salonen, Nea Silavuori, Panu Thusberg, Tea Tikka and Merja Ylitalo.
